Does VAXY2K01_U2055 need VAXSHAD09_U2055?

The Question is:

 
Mr. Wizard,
 
I have recently received a Y2K kit
(VAXY2K01_U2055) and in the release notes
it states that you must install kit
(VAXSHAD09_U2055) first, but that kit
has many problems that are addressed that are
fixed only in V6.2.  If I am not doing any
disk shadowing do you know if I need to
install this kit prior to the Y2K kit?
Please advise...

The Answer is :

 
  The VAXSHAD09_U2055 kit is a prerequisite for the VAXY2K01_U2055 kit.
 
  The references to V6.2 in the VAXSHAD reference the fixes that have
  been included in V6.2 -- prior to that release, the VAXSHAD kit is
  required, if you wish the fixes.
 
  While you might not be using shadowing, are you using any of the
  following: System, Bugcheck, Backup, Mount, Dismount, MSCP, TMSCP,
  MTAAACP, I/O Routines, Audit Server, Security, System Primitives,
  Adaptive Pool Management (APM), Operator Communication Manager
  (OPCOM), or User Environmental Test Package (UETP)?  The Wizard would
