The Question is: Been happily connecting to our VAX using LAT via WRQ's Relections 2 v4 for ages. Recently changed PCs some users to Windows NT and WRQ's Reflections2 v6 for Unix and VMS which uses Telnet. Have v4.2 UCX loaded on the VAX. Users still on v4 and LAT are still fine. Problem is we are now experiencing typeahead in a big way on the PCs with NT and v6. Monitored VAX and it isn't suffering. So come to conclusion it is either Telnet or new version of Reflections. I tried WRQ first and they suggested one or two things in the set term/type_ahead area - but each time a user logs in they get a different term id. Is there anything I can monitor/change in UCX? Is there any mileage in changing the TTY settings of typeahdsz or altypahd? Have checked the knowledge bases of both Digital and WRQ and haven't found anyone else who is suffering from this. Rgds Linda The Answer is : This appears to be a problem with Reflections, well outside of the domain of the OpenVMS Wizard. As a first suggestion, reload the version of Reflections that worked and determine if it still works as expected. Use that version as a workaround. As mentioned, this would initially appear to be a Reflections problem, or something that Reflections V6.0 is specifically tripping over. The Wizard would suggest you contact and encourage WRQ support to contact and work with Compaq support folks to resolve this problem.
