The Question is:

 
Is it possible to cluster a VAX 4000-700A and a VAX 7000-820 with HSD disk
controllers in a CI/Star Coupler environment?  This is going to be used for
Y2K testing and later as a Development System.

The Answer is :

 
  Yes, you can have multiple interconnects in a cluster, and yes, this
  and other similar configurations should work just fine.
 
  Note: An OpenVMS Cluster must have the same time across all nodes
  in the cluster.
 
  Note: Nodes operating on various shared interconnects such as CI and
  DSSI must be cooperating, and operating in the same cluster.
