MD30C Scanner on OpenVMS V7.1?

The Question is:

 
I have a Vaxstation 4000-90 and an MD30C Color Scanner.
 
I have installed then DECImage Scan Software.
The Software runs. But the Device of the Scanner LKA500
is offline. The Scan-Software returns Device not in Configuration or Aktive.
Please help me..

The Answer is :

 
  The Wizard does not believe that the MD30C scanner nor the associated
  software to be supported on OpenVMS VAX V7.1 -- the scanner itself was
  retired in 1995.
