Third-party SCSI device integration? (HP 40T)

The Question is:

 
I would like to connect an HP Model 40T Optical Disk Library (SCSI) to one
of my PZPAA PCI/SCSI adapters in my AlphaServer 2100A. Can this be done and
what drivers/software do I need to install/procure to make this device
accessable to VMS.
