HP LaserJet 5M and PRINT/HEAD?

The Question is:

 
Print/head command does not force header
information onto a new page for multi-page docs.
 
HP 5 m printer prints 70 lines, regardless
of whether \head is specified or not.

The Answer is :

 
  If you need to adjust the behaviour of a particular printer, check
  the device control library.  (There are various previous discussions
  of device control libraries and HP printers, particularly around the
  extra blank pages that can be produced.)
 
  In the case of the HP LaserJet 5M, the Wizard would recommend using
  DCPS to communicate with the printer -- the HP LaserJet "M" series
  printers are usually Postscript or Postscript-capable printing devices,
  and DCPS is the prefered method to access Postscript devices.
