The Question is: When attempting a MOP boot my MicroVax 3600 I get the following: ... -XQA (08-00-2B-0F-33-A8) Device? [XQA0]: (BOOT/R5:0 XQA0) 2.. -XQA0 ?4B CTRLERR, XQA0 ?06 HLT INST PC = 00000C1A Failure. >>> What can be causing this problem? In a BA620 enclosure Which slots are QB-CD and which are QB-QB? Does the cpu have to be in the right most slot? Which order should the cards be in from the cpu? Please Help!!! Sincerly, Mr. David E. Kuder The Answer is : The Q-bus configuration needs to be verified for correctness, checking for such problems as erroneously empty slots interrupting the DMA grant chain. The Wizard is unaware of a BA620 enclosure. The typical enclosure used for the MicroVAX 3600 series is the BA213. All slots in the BA213 are Q22/CD slots. Please see an existing discussion here in Ask The Wizard, "MicroVAX 3500 Q-bus and bootstrap questions?" (The MicroVAX 3500 uses the same basic parts and the same basic enclosure as the MicroVAX 3600.)
