OpenVMS Performance Analysis Tools? (take II)

The Question is:

 
Dear Wizard,
 
In your response to the question on Polycenter
Performance Advisor, you recommended Datametrics
Viewpoint (which is/was free with Alphas).
 
Surely (better make it a question) the Compaq
Capacity Planner for VMS/Unix/NT would more suitable in its Analyzer
incarnation?
 
I don't expect an answer, but an acknowledgement would be nice.

The Answer is :

 
  Capacity Planner is another option that has recently emerged, although
  its emergence has obviously caused some confusion.
 
  The two products are not strictly analagous, as Viewpoint provides
  rules-based tuning which Capacity Planner does not.  Further, Capacity
  Planner is (or was) part of a services offering.
 
  OpenVMS chose to endorse and to bundle Viewpoint prior to the
  availability of the Capacity Planner package.
