Y2K readiness?

The Question is:

 
I have several VAX VMS systems (3100's, 3800, and 4000's) running VMS 5.4-2,
and I would like to make them Y2K compliant, by changing the operating
system version. Is this possible, and if so, what is the BEST/easiest way to
do this?
