Switching AlphaBIOS (ARC) to SRM firmware?

The Question is:

 
How do we switch from the ARC console (Alphabios) to the SRM console on an
Alpha Personal Workstation model 500a.
 
We are part of the ASAP program and want to test speed on the 500a for
OpenVMS.  We have the Digital Alpha Systems Firmware Update v5.2.
