The Question is: We are transferring files from an Oracle database on a Sun machine to RMS files on an Alpha. We create text files which are copied to a PC then to the Alpha. The problem is that some of the files on the alpha have a linefeed between each record and not a carriage return and a linefeed. Is there any easy way to change the linefeed to a carriage return and a linefeed? I thank you for any help that you can give. The Answer is : Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center, as information on the transfer mechanism, and on specific file data and file attributes will likely be required. This may be as simple as resetting the file attributes with a SET FILE/ATTRIBUTE command, as transfering the file with the appropriate file attributes (ASCII or binary), or it may require alteration of the data in the file using a text editor or other similar tool.
