The Question is: we are trying to deal with the issue of writing CD-ROM's on a PC system which can be used to install on OpenVMS. We have a particular CD which is said to be ISO-9660, and OpenVMS mounts it fine. The problem is that all of the filenames are in lower-case, and there doesn't seem to be any way to access them via DCL. They can be copied elsewhere by using a wildcard: $ copy dev:[0,0]*.*; [] but I don't seem to have a way to address them directly from DCL. It seems like there should be a way of handling this. The Answer is : Please see the information in the OpenVMS FAQ around writing CD-R media directly on OpenVMS. If you pursue your current approach, the Wizard would suggest using uppercase for the filenames.
