OpenVMS V7.2 upgrade path?

The Question is:

 
Actually, the system in question is on V 5.5-2H4.  I see where you have an
upgrade path to V7.1.  However, my company wants to go to  V7.2.  What would
be the upgrade path for this?
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  Please see the OpenVMS Frequently Asked Questions for the available
  OpenVMS Upgrade paths.  The next issue of the OpenVMS FAQ includes
  information on recent releases including V7.2.
 
  You will be able to upgrade to V7.2 using the same paths available to
  OpenVMS VAX V7.1 -- see the FAQ for details.
 
  If you use V6.1 to directly upgrade to V7.2, realize you may/will need
  to apply the available BACKUP ECO kit to V6.1 to allow the OpenVMS V6.1
  environment to correctly process BACKUP savesets from V6.2 and later.
