The Question is: What conversion packages are available for converting documents from the Teamlinks file cabinet and All-In-1 for use and filing in the Windows directory structure (e.g. Exchange). I want to retain file attributes and creation dates as well as the long fi le names as they currently exist in the file cabinet. The Answer is : The answer depends on whether this is a migration, or co-existence. For migration, there are a number of tools -- ranging from the use of a simple ALL-IN-1 script and mail forwarding (though not likely to meet your criteria) through the basic migration tool provided with Exchange itself, up to the commercially available Direct-TO-1 (http://www.iga.com/) and Compaq ExchangeLink packages. Compaq and other companies can be contracted to perform this work, as well. In the co-existence case -- ranging from drag and drop can be used for manual migration -- there are two obvious plans: TeamLinks can also be used as a client to Exchange. Compaq markets a product called the MAPI driver. The MAPI driver is a piece of PC software that allows the ALL-IN-1 file cabinet to appear alongside the Exchange mailbox in Outlook or in the Exchange client.
