The Question is: I am trying to replace our old Vitalink Translans (which are joined by ISDN circuits) with Cisco routers using ISDN and transparent bridging (only - no DECnet routing). When I try to load a DEC 200 over the router link the load never works. My protocol analyzer shows that the DEC 200 is responding with the following error: Error=Image Data Not Properly Loaded. It looks like the MOP load server is sending the same packets twice even though the DEC 200 responds with an Error=No Error message after the first time the packet is sent. This DEC 200 loads fine when on a local segment. Any help is appreciated. The Answer is : Check with Cisco support, checking particularly for any known problems they may have. There was a potentially related Cisco bug -- CSCDI38595 was the Cisco identifer. Disabling the LAT compression was a potential workaround.
