The Question is:

 
I need to send a file to a IP printer connected to the network.  The file
must not be spooled to the printer, it must be send directly to the print
device out of a cobol program.  I use to have a printer connected to a
terminal server and used LAT to crea
te a logical device (LTA9999). I could then send files directly to that
device.
How can the same result be achieved, but using LPD print services.
