Directory Deletion (deltree) tools?

The Question is:

 
Hello Mr Wizard! :-)
 
I know there is supposed to be a sort of "deltree" command or command
procedure. A friend of mine told me he thought he saw it on the freeware CD.
I've been searching for two days now but can't find anything. Could you
please help me?

The Answer is :

 
  Assuming your friend cannot provide you with specific pointers...
 
  After resetting protections to permit deletion, you could repeat:
 
    $ DELETE ddcu:[dir...]*.*;*
 
  as necessary.  Usually no more than six or seven times is required.
 
  Alternatively, please visit:
 
    http://www.decus.org/
 
  and search for "deltree" in the DECUS software library area.
