Configuring PPP on OpenVMS? (RAS)

The Question is:

 
Hi..
     I hv a 1000a with openvms 7.1h1. I want to connect a remote pc with
win95 to this server through dialup adapter(tcp/ip-ppp).For this I
configured serial port at 1000a by following commands.
ucx>set interface ucx>pp0/host=192.1.1.9/destination=192.1.1.8
ucx>serial device=tta0
 
After that when I given 'show interface' it is showing 'pp0' but no tcp/ip
address.Even self ping is also not working.Please let me know what other
steps I need to take for configuring PPP at 1000a.
