The Question is: Greetings, A simple question. How may I determine what patches are installed on a system? One of the easiest ways I know of is to see if the patch release notes are in SYS$HELP, although that is not foolproof, as someone could have just run VMSINSTAL to get to the Release Notes. Regards and happy tutteling! The Answer is : Nothing is foolproof, as fools are quite ingenious... That said, please see the PRODUCT SHOW PRODUCT command. (This command will also display the contents of the VMSINSTAL.HISTORY file.) With OpenVMS Alpha V7.1-2 and later, all OpenVMS ECO kits are installed via PCSI, and can be displayed as part of the PCSI database.
