The Question is: We have some DECserver 300 in use. The main network protocol we use, is TCP/IP (UCX version 4.2). Also decnet is running. But we don't route this protocol in other locations. The DECservers 300 we installed on the ALPHA-server location. So they can boot w ith MOP. Now we want turn off one ALPHA server. How we can boot the DECserver 300 now ? Is there a MOP server for I386 systems ? Jens Gaertig The Answer is : This does not appear to be an OpenVMS question. Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center for information and options for MOP downline loads for non-OpenVMS platforms. The MOP protocol itself is documented in the DECnet Phase IV architecure manuals referenced in the FAQ, if you wish to create your own implementation.
