The Question is: While investigating Y2K status it was discovered that several layered products had been overlooked. My question is does OPEN3D powerstorm replace all the previous OPEN3D components like MIT PEXlib, Open GL, PCM and IDL, PEXlib, PGX, X multibuffering, ZLXp . Also if it does why does DASC still show the old versions. The Answer is : Open3D provides OpenGL support for OpenVMS for specific graphics devices, and it provides 2D software which in some cases replaces base OpenVMS functionality and is sometimes the sole support source. The Open3D support is device-specific, and explicitly does not remove support for any other extensions, nor does it remove older device support that might be present on an OpenVMS system. For information on the current contents of Open3D, please see the Open3D SPD. For Y2K status information not answered in the Y2K website, or for discussions of the specifics of DASC processing, please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center.
