The Question is: I need to use VEST to convert a supplied executable file so it can run on my alpha 4100. I do not have access to the source code. After I have run VEST on it, and try to run the new exe (nnnn_TV.EXE) I get the following error: %DCL-W-ACTIMAGE, error activating image MTHRTL_TV -CLI-E-IMGNAME, image file FREUD$DRA0:[SYS0.SYSCOMMON.][SYSLIB]MTHRTL_D53_TV.EXE -SYSTEM-F-SHRIDMISMAT, ident mismatch with shareable image running anal/image on the nnn_TV.exe and the original exe it is to replace shows the same library dependencies: images from ti020a.exe Shareable Image List 0) "TIE$SHARE" 1) "BASRTL_TV" 2) "BASRTL2_TV" 3) "CDDSHR_TV" 4) "LIBRTL_TV" 5) "LIBRTL2_TV" 6) "MTHRTL_TV" 7) "RDBSHR_TV" 8) "RDBINTSHR_TV" 9) "SORTSHR_TV" What is going wrong please? The Answer is : There are known problems with certain VEST RTLs on recent OpenVMS Alpha releases. Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center.
