Problems Printing via HP JetDirect?

The Question is:

 
I need to print to a LG31 line printer from an Alpha running OpenVMS. The
printer is connected via the Network to a HP JetDirect card. The alpha sees
the printer but only prints rubbish, what am I missing, can you advise.

The Answer is :

 
  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center directly, as details
  of the current IP printing configuration and details of what actually
