The Question is: We have a 4100 running 7.1-1H2. Recently we noticed that clue$da was taking a lot of resources. We re-booted with the same results. We finally terminated the process. Why should this happen? After searching the docs found I could inhibit the process, is this a good idea? Thanks for any help. Allen Bartram The Answer is : Please upgrade to V7.1-2 or later, where this is fixed -- V7.1-2 is a roll-up of the V7.1-1Hx release, the V7.1 release, the associated ECO kits, and new capabilities. This reported behaviour is generally seen when CLUE$SDA encounters certain stack corruptions present the data in particular crashdumps, and it loops. (These stack corruptions can potentially be related to the event that triggered the OpenVMS system to bugcheck and thus create the crashdump file, of course.)
