Adjusting GBLPAGES?

The Question is:

 
How do you calculate what the correctGBLPAGES setting should be on an Alpha ??.
 
Oracle databse having some problems becuase there is not enough GBLPAGES, but
 cn you increase too much ??
 
 

The Answer is :

 
  You might want to take a look at existing topics 3844 and 1338, as well
  as at the Oracle database documentation or Oracle Support for any
  recommended system parameter values -- there is no single "correct"
  value for this and related parameters, the values must be determined
  on a site-specific basis using current usage as well as on documented
  requirements.
 
  Use AUTOGEN and MODPARAMS.DAT to alter the value as required.
