Where to preserve queue database changes?

The Question is:

 
After initialising a print/batch/generic queue, which file must be updated to
 reflect the changes?

The Answer is :

 
  In SYSTARTUP_VMS.COM, usually.  This is not strictly necessary as
  the queue definition is maintained in the queue database over a
  system reboot, but can be very useful should the queue database
  ever need to be rebuilt.
