The Question is: In writing a socket interface between a PC running a Java App and the UCX Service (Vers 4.2) to a Vax using Vax Macro, we are having trouble with nulls being left from the previous transmission. We are using the discard all with qio deacess function and m shutdown option. Is there a way to flush the this buffer? It must be able to be incorporated into a Macro routine because C is not an option. Thank you so much! The Answer is : Based on no evidence (eg: there is no provided example indicating what is being done with the $qio call), it would appear that at least one of the programs contains a bug.
