The Question is:

 
We want to use Multinet FTP to transfer files from our Alpha to an IBM at
 another site. All is fine until we try to translate a file that has variable
 record lengths. I have been told that you can specify the record length at the
 beginning of each record
but no one seems to know how. Any ideas?
