MOUNT and /RECORDSIZE and /BLOCKSIZE?

The Question is:

 
Why do I receive a CONFLICTING QUALIFIERS error when I have BLOCKSIZE and
 RECORDSIZE in in the same DCL MOUNT statement?

The Answer is :

 
  An excellent question.  The example in the manual (System Management
  Utilities Reference Manual, M-Z, page 2-45) states that you can use both
  the /RECORDSIZE and /BLOCKSIZE qualifiers at the same time on the Mount
  command.
 
  There is nothing in the processing of the Mount qualifiers that
  explicitly forbids the use of /RECORDSIZE and /BLOCKSIZE on the same
  command.  Perhaps, one of these qualifiers is conflicting with another
  qualifier you're using on the Mount command.
 
  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center, as the complete DCL
  MOUNT command (and any MOUNT-related DCL symbols that might be present)
