TZ87, TZ88 DLT tape drives and cartridges?

The Question is:

 
Can I user DLT III XT (15/30) tapes in my TZ877 tape system? Since these tapes
 didn't exist when the drive was new, there isn't any documentation I can find
 saying not to try to use them.
 
Will it cause any service problems?

The Answer is :

 
  The OpenVMS Wizard is not particularly a StorageWorks nor hardware
  Wizard, please direct StorageWorks and hardware questions to your
  hardware services organization, or to the folks at the Compaq Customer
  Support Center.
 
  The TZ88 is the first DLT series tape drive with support for the
