PATHWORKS PWRK$LMSRV Goes Compute-bound?

The Question is:

 
We are experiencing a process that keeps spiralling out of control. The process
 is pwrk$lmsrv and it eats up all the CPU cycles on one node particularly.
 Users must request that Pathworks be stopped and started in order for the
 process to return to normal
 condition and not monopolize the CPU. Is there another way to correct this
 problem???

  Please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center directly, as details
  of the particular PATHWORKS (Advanced Server) version and environment
  will be required.  (This may or may not be the result of a known problem;
