The Question is: Compaq does as far as I know not offer a Motif GUI builder for OpenVMS/Alpha. My attempts to convert VUIT for VMS/VAX to OpenVMS/Alpha using DECmigrate has not been successful. Is VUIT still an active product? Or has it been retired? If it has been retire d is there then a chance that Compaq may release the source code for it - for purchase or inclusion on the freeware CD - to allow long time customers as us to try and rebuild it on OpenVMS/Alpha? I saw on Compaq's What's New page that GTK (the Motif equivalent of the Gnome/Linux desktop user interface) has been ported to OpenVMS. Does Compaq (or a third party) have plans to also port Qt (the Motif equivalent of the KDE/Linux user interface) to Ope nVMS? Thank you very much. The Answer is : Consider ICS BX. Please see the CSA Application Catalog. The VUIT environment was retired years ago, as was DECmigrate. The OpenVMS Wizard is not aware of plans to release VUIT as Freeware, either as executable or as source code. The OpenVMS Wizard is not immediately planning to port Qt, though someone else may well plan on or may already have ported it.
