The Question is: What's wrong if ABS (OMT license) save request exits in error: ABS_ARCH_ACCESS_FAILED when all data is valid? MDMS logging does not show anything suspicious. The Answer is : From the ABS documentation: "ABS_ARCH_ACCESS_FAILED, Explanation: An attempt to access archive resources such as tape drives, tape pools, or disk directories failed. User Action: Check the transaction log file, repair the error, and retry the operation. Note that you may need to check the MDMS log files for access failures to MDMS archive resources." If you are unable to resolve this problem based on the above details and the referenced log files, then it is unlikely that the OpenVMS Wizard will be able to resolve this problem based on even less available information -- please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center for assistance in resolving this. Expect to be asked details of the configuration, commands, logfile contents, versions, etc.
