Can you setup LPR printers queues to print
FORTRAN formatted files correct?

The Answer is :

 
  The TCP/IP Services LPD (the OpenVMS LPD server) handles Fortran carriage
  control properly per RFC 1179, but remote system must also properly handle
  the format for correct results.  With outbound connections (the OpenVMS
  LPR client), a telnet (tcpip$telnetsym) relay queue may well be the best
  approach.
