Relocating Files and Directories? (BACKUP)

The Question is:

 
How can I copy a files and directories to another node that would maintain the
 directory structure, file ownership and security. Since I have the same users
 defined on the remote node. I'm not in a cluster configuration.

The Answer is :

 
  Via BACKUP, though the binary identifier and rightslist values are
