Console lock-up with MAIL?

The Question is:

 
When I reply to a message in the mail Utility, the console freezes and locks.
 
This only when replying to a message that was composed by send/edit command.
 
Pleas cna you help.

The Answer is :

 
  As should be obvious, this should not happen.
 
  As for configuring the console terminal to not display OPCOM
  messages and such, please see the OpenVMS FAQ.
 
  It is not clear if this is a result of a console message, or a
  process quota, or some other problem.
 
  Please contact the Compaq Customer support center, as details
  of the console configuration and the lock-up will be required.
