The Question is:

 
what type of tape storage devices does openvms 6.2 support?  I would like to
 connect either a DLT device or an EXABYTE mammoth 8900 to a vax 4000-90
 platform.  Can it be done?

The Answer is :

 
  The Compaq-supported devices are listed in the OpenVMS V6.2 Software
  Product Description (SPD).  For an introduction to connecting (SCSI)
  devices not listed in the SPD to an OpenVMS system, please see the
