TURBOchannel (PMAG) hardware error?

The Question is:

 
I just added PMAG-EA graphics card to a DEC 3000/600S. VMS autoconfigure done -
 but no sign of a graphics device. At power up test TC1 shows status 301. Is
 this a hardware error or is there something configurable on the card?
 

The Answer is :

 
  If the device does not appear to the console (usually as a PMAGB-E)
  or produces a hardware error, please contact your hardware support
  organization for assistance.
 
  The PMAG-EA (PXG+ series) graphics controller requires that the
  Open3D kit be installed on OpenVMS, though this does not appear to
  be the immediate cause of the reported TURBOchannel error.
