The Question is: VMS NFS Performance. We have a VAX 7810 NFS server which is accessed from a HP L2000 server (client NFS). The problem is that the speed we achieve is quite slow (executing ls from the HP client takes several seconds to finish and often seems blocked for a while). Network load is very low so the problem seems to be in NFS configuration. Is there any way to improve NFS performance? We have searched several manuals and documents unsuccessfully. The Answer is : The particular bottleneck -- NFS server, NFS client, local file system, remote file system, network hardware, etc -- will need to be identified. The particular NFS implementation and ECO will also need to be identified. Assuming this is TCP/IP Services for OpenVMS, please contact the Compaq Customer Support Center.
