Q-bus CD-ROM drive options?

The Question is:

 
I have a MicroVAX II running VMS 5.5-2.  I want to connect a CD-ROM drive to it
 to facilitate installation of OpenVMS v7.2 from CD (hobbyist).
 
1. What make/model of CD-ROM drives will work with the uVAXII?
 
2. What software (drivers etc.) for the CD-ROM drive are required to make this
 work?

The Answer is :

 
  Please acquire and read the CD-ROM information that is included
  in and referenced in the OpenVMS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
 
  With a supported CD-ROM drive (KRQ50 and RRD50, or KZQSA and RRD4x,
  or KFQSA and HSDxx and RRD4x) or a CD-ROM drive that emulates one
  of these supported drives sufficiently closely, all required device
  driver support is integrated into OpenVMS.
 
  The OpenVMS Wizard would replace this Q-bus MicroVAX II with any of
  the now commonly-available surplus SCSI-capable MicroVAX or VAXstation
  series systems -- members of the MicroVAX 3100 series (the upper-end
  models are prefered, see the FAQ comments on the system disk limits
  and the Model 10, 10e, 20, and 20e series), the VAXstation 3100 series
  (less desirable, due to system disk limits -- again, see the FAQ), or
  (better) the VAXstation 4000 series would be obvious choices for VAX
  upgrades.  Various older PCI-based AlphaStation and AlphaServer systems
  are also available, and are good choices for hobbyists.
