The Question is:

 
Is the structure of the /analysis_data output (.ANA) files documented
 somewhere? The answer to 6653 implies that it is documented (not particularly
 well). But even the partial documentation might be useful.
 
We are trying to document some old applications that are not too well structured.

  English can be a subtle language.  Rephrasing the (6653) answer to
  avoid the confusion: the format of the compiler-generated analysis
