The Question is:

 
DEBUGGER IN SCREEN MODE DOES NOT POINT TO
LINE BEING EXECUTED - DEBUGGER POINTER SKIPS LINES. ANSWERS TO PREVIOUS
 QUESTIONS INDICATED THAT THIS WOULD BE FIXED IN OVMS 7.
 
STEP/INSTRUCTION DOES NOT ALLEVIATE THE PROBLEM.
 
SINCE WE RELY HEAVILY ON THE DEBUGGER, ITS
FAILURE IS COSTING CONSIDERABLE DEVELOPMENT TIME.
 
YOUR HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED IN SOLVING THIS.

  Please contact the Customer Support Center, as without details on (or
  pointers to) the previous questions, the OpenVMS Wizard is unable to
  determine if this is known and expected behaviour, specific to the C
  compiler, to the debugger, or some new and previously unrecognized
  problem(s).  In particular, the answer from (6699) is applicable here.
 
  If the code is configured and compiled with optimization enabled, then
  the reported behaviour is entirely expected and normal behaviour.
