The Question is: I am running out of blocks on a drive, but there are not many files that have been copied to the disk. We show over 50,000,000 blocks total, but only 400,000 free. We've probably used about 500,000 total. Where has my free space gone? The Answer is : Assuming ANALYZE/DISK/REPAIR does not free up any space and does not indentify problems in the file structure, the disk space has probably been consumed-- whether or not you have realized it was used. Please see DIRECTORY/SIZE=ALL and related commands, and you can consider enabling disk quotas for all users -- with the quota limits set to larger than the disk -- and then rebuild the quota file. Examination of the output from the DIRECTORY command or the resulting (rebuilt) quota file will help you track the storge.
