Recovering Disk/Tape Data After INITIALIZE?

The Question is:

 
As the above command shows, I initialized a disk. Unfortunately, it contained
 data we didn't want to lose. Is there a way to recover the data on this disk?
 No additonal data has been written to the disk aside from the creation of the
 [JOURNAL] directory.
 
 
I looked through the FAQ's and did not see this question.....
 

The Answer is :

 
  The answer has not particularly changed since topic (2736): if the disk
  or tape storage medium is presently on-line, dismount and write-lock the
  storage medium immediately, and (if the data is sufficiently valuable)
  contact the customer support center for assistance.  This data may or
  may not be recoverable, with (un-overwritten) disk storage generally
  being somewhat more likely to be recoverable than reinitialized tape
  media.  If the data is overwritten, the data will only be recoverable
  from any data archives (eg: BACKUP media) that may have been maintained.
 
  Topics specific to unintential initialization or the overwriting of
