Copying selected ACCOUNTING data?

The Question is:

 
our Accountng.dat file has records dating back to 1999. How do I delete/purge
 all but the current year?

The Answer is :

 
  Use the ACCOUNTING command, specifically with the desired selection
  criteria and the /BINARY qualifier.  For details, please see the
