HP LaserJet 2200 Printer?

The Question is:

 
We have a HP2200 LaserJet printer attached to our network and configured with
 TCPIP LPD/LPR.
 
When a document is printed, the last page is not being forced out of the
 printer. I have set the /SEPARATE=(RESET=FEED) qualifier on the queue. The
 FEED reset module contains the escape sequence to force the current page to be
 printed and has been inserte
d into the SYSDEVCTL.TLB library. But the /SEPARATE qualifier seems to have no
 effect.
 
I have included the FEED.TXT module into the bottom of the original document
 and its prints as it should with the last page being forced out.
 
I have changed the printer to a LATSYM printer and the /SEPARATE works as it
 should.
 
Is there a reason why LPD queues are not honoring the /SEPARATE=(RESET=xxx)
 qualifier ?

  Topic (1020) is the starting point for TCP/IP Services printing
  questions.
 
  The obvious approach here would involve replacing lpr with telnet,
  as your report implies an imcompatibility within the implementation
  of lpd within the HP LaserJet 2200 series and that of OpenVMS.
 
  Alternatively, the DCPS (DECprint Services) package is the prefered
  mechanism for communicating with Postscript printers, and the
  HP LaserJet 2200 series has Postscript support.
 
  This problem may well involve the duplexer hardware supported by
  this printer, and particularly a page eject or printer reset
  sequence specific to PCL and to this printer may well be required.
