How do I correct this problem, so I can boot the system?

  Most commonly, you will want to invoke AUTOGEN.
 
  To obtain help within AUTOGEN, use:
 
    $ @SYS$UPDATE:AUTOGEN HELP
 
  You will probably want to use a command such as this:
