The Question is: I have several vaxes that are not running TCP/IP software. How can I sychronize their time? These vaxes are running DECnet. The Answer is : Most commonly, using IP NTP or using DECnet-Plus DTSS. Most OpenVMS systems have a NET-APP-SUP* or UCX license, thus permitting TCP/IP Services to be installed and configured. But at its simplest, DCL task-to-task can be used. See topic (159) for an example. Please also see the OpenVMS FAQ section on keeping the OpenVMS system time synchronized for suggestions, alternatives, and pointers.
