The Question is: How do I change the volume label of a disk and retain its contents for Open VMS 7.3 The Answer is : Please see HELP SET VOLUME /LABEL, for the answer to the direct question. Find and change existing MOUNT commands, looking for and replacing references to the old volume label. If there are PCSI database files, you must re-register the volume under the new label -- see the OpenVMS FAQ for related information, in the section on changing node names.
