LOCKMGRERR system crashes?

The Question is:

 
"Error detected by Lock Manager"
 
Alpha crashing nightly since Dec 24 between midninght and 12:30. System has
 been stable for years. No changes to sysmans knowledge.
 
What are the best remedy ?
